Registration and placement exams are done throughout certain days before starting a new semester. Enrollment in each course is based on 'first come first served'. Therefore, please apply for registration early so that you can get enrolled in your preferred time slots and days.

Founded in 1995, Goldis Language Institute, accredited by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Iran, is the biggest and most equipped language institute on the north west of Iran with 9 branches, approximately 60000 language learners and 200 highly qualified teaching and administrative staff. The institute runs general English programs for a wide variety of language learners and university students aged between 8-45 years old, starting from beginner to advanced levels throughout the year. Goldis language programs are offered in easily accessible locations in Tabriz to both male and female language learners in separate branches. The institute also holds highly credited IELTS and TOEFL preparatory, and business English courses and teaching staff for these courses are all PhD and MA graduates in English Language Teaching.


In order to place all applicants in the appropriate course and level, they undergo a formal placement examination which includes a standard written exam (Oxford Placement Test) followed by an interview. Language courses in Goldis enjoy rigorous formative and summative assessment to maintain and promote educational standards and meet the objectives of every program. In addition to learner assessment, the Quality Promotion Department in partnership with the Education Department constantly supervises, evaluate, and optimize the criteria and procedures for staff recruitment and promotion, job efficiency, educational and administrative management, and above all customer satisfaction.

 

The institute has been awarded ISO 9001-2000 certificate since 2001. Moreover, our institute is fully informed about IELTS exam and has been conducting IELTS preparation courses for General and Academic Modules of the test for 6 years. Over the last four years, more than 10 official IELTS Examinations have been administered jointly in cooperation with IELTS Australia and British Council offices in our institute. It advertised the administration of this exam, briefed, informed, and registered the applicants, and provided the venue for administering the test. Based on the findings of customer surveys conducted in the institute, the applicants have expressed their complete satisfaction with the exam conditions, quality of the listening and acoustics, seating arrangements, accessibility and convenience for the IELTS applicants in the north west of Iran, and registration procedure.

 

The institute is academically and logistically prepared to hold IELTS and TOEFL preparation courses and exams on a regular basis. Among our teaching and education management team, there are 12 PhD and MA graduates majored in English Language Teaching (ELT) and with a solid background in language proficiency testing and assessment. The institute has more than 50 classes with 10-20 seats and an auditorium with a capacity of 50 seats, spacious enough for administering TOEFL and IELTS exam. Some of these staff had already taken TOEFL or IELTS exams with scores ranging between 627-650 in TOEFL and 8.5-9 in IELTS.

The institute hopes to expand and enrich its programs in the coming years. Our aspiration and ultimate goal is to make learning English an enjoyable and rewarding experience for Iranian EFL earners (education + entertainment = edutainment), to empower our learners to communicate and interact with the rest of the world and pursue their academic and professional dreams very conveniently, to create vocational opportunities for lots of language teachers and learners in diverse sectors; education, trade, industry, tourism to name but a few, to promote educational values and principles well-respected and practiced around the world and thus play a constructive role in spreading its ripple effects on other pedagogic programs in our schools and universities.
